WILLIAM L. HALLMARK, J.D.
Bill is a retired Portland, Oregon insurance defense attorney. He also has a background in international affairs based upon his political science education and his work at the CIA in the 60's. Through his legal practice Bill became familiar with conflict resolution techniques. His involvement in Beyond War in the 80's taught him the need to apply these techniques to all levels of conflict. Bill and his wife, Elaine, are avid travelers. In traveling to foreign lands, they have come to understand the value of honoring differences and exploring the assumptions on which differences are based. These experiences have combined to make Bill a dedicated advocate of the Beyond War principles and core practices. |

MARTIN JONES, M.D.
Martin Jones has practiced Internal Medicine in Eugene, Oregon for the last 30 years. He has worked with local and state medical societies, as well as other community coalitions, to promote community health and safety, social justice and peace. Martin has been involved in the design of peace seminars and lengthy mediation projects to help resolve community conflicts. These experiences have convinced him of the power of a small group of committed citizens to effect social change. In 1997, Martin was chosen Oregon Physician Citizen of the Year. He enjoys piano playing and music of all kinds, hiking, and spending time with his family and friends. |

LEONORA PERRON
Leonora was instrumental in organizing and establishing Beyond War 80’s in Oregon and Washington, traveling throughout the northwest recruiting, giving presentations and leading educational seminars. She served as a Beyond War International Ambassador to Mexico, coordinated their downlink with the five continent “Space Bridge” teleconference and presented the award to President de la Madrid at the ceremony. She has actively participated in Habitat for Humanity International, building housing in a black township in South Africa, and establishing connections with peace organizations there. Prior to Beyond War, Leonora was a primary founder and Chairman of Creative Initiative Foundation in Oregon, an educational organization offering courses and seminars about personal growth, relationships, and spirituality. After graduating from University of Oregon and Portland State University with a Masters degree in Art and Education, Leonora taught Art in high school and college for for 10 years, then changed her focus to working for social and cultural change. Current joys are blowing glass and practicing Qigong. |

ROBERT DODGE, M.D.
Bob is a family practice physician in Ventura, California. Active in the peace movement since his college days at the University of Colorado, Boulder, Bob was on a Beyond War team in the 80s. Since 1985, he has been the president of Ventura County Physicians for Social Responsibility and is the cofounder and Co-Chair of Citizens for Peaceful Resolutions (CPR). CPR, a grass roots coalition, was founded in 2002 in response to the U.S. Nuclear Posture Review doctrine. A firm believer that the individual can make a difference -- Bob is the father of three sons and is married to Joan Dodge, a school counselor. |
