A Good Read: "The New American Militarism - How Americans are Seduced by War"

Though it is not new (having been published in 2005), "The New American Militarism - How Americans are Seduced by War" is well worth reading.  The author, Andrew J. Bacevich is a retired professional Army officer, a West Point graduate, and has a doctorate in history from Princeton University.  His points are well taken, and I recommend the book highly for those of us who want to understand better how to really have true dialogue with our fellow citizens who may disagree that we can ever get "Beyond War".  If you would like to discuss this book, or even just the title, let me know...I've done a series on it at our church, and could resurrect the discussions.  If that is desired, there would be no need to have read the book beforehand, but it would be nice.
